Josef Fischnaller was born in Grieskirchen, Austria, in 1964. After training as a photographer in Vienna from 1982 to 1986, he founded his own photo studio in Vienna in 1987.

Since 2000, he has lived in Berlin, where he is represented by Galerie Friedmann-Hahn. Fischnaller's works can be found at numerous international art exhibitions and fairs. They are characterized by a special sensitivity and a deep understanding of the medium of photography, which has earned them recognition both nationally and internationally.
